Donnie was born and raised in Pittsburgh. Music was his first love, and he began singing in the church at the age of 10. Donnie has loved Reggae music since he first heard it. "Reggae is a way of life for me, and creating music with friends brings fulfillment to my heart and soul" Donnie has been playing in various band all his life. During the '80s, he played in KIBO, a band that brought him together with a person who would eventually work with regularly for the next 18 years, Les Bowe. Starting in 1989, Donnie became frontman (bass and vocals) for the FLOW Band for over 9 years. Then, in 1997, Donnie co-founded the FREEDOM Band. The rest is history...
